Suriname Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens


Tourist Visa Requirements
  • TOURIST VISA:

    • Submit your signed passport having two (2) completely blank “visa” pages and 6 months validity beyond the travel dates. If you need help securing, renewing or updating your passport, please contact GenVisa at 800-845-8968 for requirements and fees.
    • Suriname Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
    • 1 Recent Professional Passport-type photograph.
    • Copy of round trip ticket or travel agency/airline itinerary.
    • Submit additional documents for children under 17 years of age:
      a) Birth certificate showing the names of both parents;
      b) Copy of any documents pertaining to custody (if applicable);
      c) Death certificate if one of both parents are deceased.
      d) A notarized letter of consent from one parent, if the child is traveling with one parent, and from both parents, if traveling along or with the third party.
    • Copy of Alien Registration Card (green card or evidence of legal status in the US) for Non-US citizens.

Business Visa Requirements
  • BUSINESS VISA

    • Submit your signed passport having two (2) completely blank “visa” pages and 6 months validity beyond the travel dates. If you need help securing, renewing or updating your passport, please contact GenVisa at  800-845-8968 for requirements and fees.
    • Suriname Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed.
    • 1 Recent Professional Passport-type photograph.
    • Copy of round trip ticket or travel agency/airline itinerary.
    • Copy of Alien Registration Card (green card or evidence of legal status in the US) for Non-US citizens.
    • Contact form – Click HERE to print.
    • A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Suriname, Visa Section, Washington D.C.

    The letter must explain all of the following:

    • The purpose of travel
    • Business reference to be visited in Suriname
    • Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Suriname
    • Return transportation to the U.S.A

  • Add $35.00 per person for expedited service within 5-7 business days.

Consular Fee:

  • $100.00 per visa, multiple entries valid for up to five (5) years for US passport holder and up to 90 days for non-US passport holders

Optional insurance:
$12.00 per passport:
  • in the unlikely event that your passport is lost or damaged in transit. This will cover your full out of pocket visa(s) and passport replacement costs up to $2,000.

  • $24.00 FedEx 2nd Business Day
  • $55.00 FedEx Letter (Saturday Delivery)

  25. Singapore
  26. Trinidad and Tobago
  27. Venezuela for holders of diplomatic and official passports only South Korea

Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued. GenVisa can assist with obtaining U.S. Passports, whether new issue or renewal.

Special requirements exist for U.S. Official and Diplomatic passport holders.

Send ALL the requirements above (and a check payable to Generations Visa) via traceable form of mail to the Generations Visa office immediately. GenVisa will hand-carry your application to the Embassy if applicable. Please allow at least 14 business days of processing time.
