Bangladesh Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST VISA:

• Submit your signed passport having two (2) completely blank “visa” pages and 6 months validity beyond the travel dates. If you need help securing, renewing or updating your passport, please contact GenVisa at 800-845-8968 for requirements and fees.
• Application Form, filled out, printed and signed.

• One (1) Professional, High Resolution passport type photo, taken within 6 months on complete white background without any shadows. Photo should be 2”x 2” with front view, no smiling, and no glasses.

• A copy of your round trip airline tickets, itinerary or e-ticket, Cruise Itinerary or letter of confirmation from a Travel Agency confirming entry and exit. The itinerary must show the applicant’s name, date of arrival and departure from the country, flight or cruise information.

• Hotels Confirmation or Reservation.

BUSINESS VISA

• Application Form,  filled out, printed and signed.

• One (1) Professional, High Resolution passport type photo, taken within 6 months on complete white background without any shadows. Photo should be 2”x 2” with front view, no smiling, and no glasses.

• Letter of invitation on letterhead from a host company or  organization in Bangladesh. Invitation should detail intended dates of  arrival and departure from the country, your name and passport number.

• A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on the company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Bangladesh when applying through Washington DC

The letter must explain all of the following:

• The purpose of travel
• Business reference to be visited in Bangladesh
• Guarantee financial support for the applicant while in Bangladesh
• Return transportation to the U.S.A.
• The letter must be signed by a company officer other than the traveler.

Applicants intending to perform filming in Bangladesh to produce TV/video film/documentary by a foreign network/organization must also complete Forms FF-1 & FF-2 in addition to the regular Visa application form. Missionaries must provide appointment letter by the church, which should contain “No Objection” by the concerned ministry.
